Coombe Hill Canal
Overlooked by Willow Hill, this mile long stretch of canal
closed in 1876. Stretching alongside are thousands of acres
of wet meadowland - part of the severn floodplain. 138 acres
is owned & managed by Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust
to provide a habitat for aquatic & bankside plants,
wetland & other birds & dragonflies. Open all year,

There is a fine walk to the River along Coombe Hill Canal.
Alternatively, drive down to the Haw Bridge, cornered by
two fine pubs.
